How to Improve Draftsmith’s Suggestions

Draftsmith makes revising your draft easier. But when you work with an AI, it’s important to understand that the first suggestion won’t always be the best one.

Here are a few tips to help improve the suggestions you get from Draftsmith so you can deliver faster, better drafts.

Get More Suggesters

When you choose an activity like the Readability Tuner or The Plain English Converter, you’ll get three default Suggesters. But what if you want more options?

Simply click the down arrows to discover new Suggesters under Audience, Style, Line Edit, Source and Funny.

Refresh for More Suggestions

If Draftsmith’s first suggestion doesn’t quite hit the mark, don’t worry. Click the Refresh button to get a new suggestion.

Test-Drive Different Suggesters

You might have a paragraph you want to simplify for a younger reader. You might also want to make that same paragraph sound more engaging or empathetic. Try out different Draftsmith Suggesters to get alternate ways of presenting your ideas. With a little trial and error, you’ll quicky find wording that resonates with your audience.
